I have trained both as a counsellor and as a psychotherapist.
My qualifications include:
- a degree in psychology
- a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling
- a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic studies
- additional professional studies leading to registration with UK Council for Psychotherapy [UKCP]
I am committed to on-going professional development and so regularly attend seminars and short courses.
UKCP is a voluntary regulatory body. Being registered by them means I am trained and qualified to a high standard. I am also bound by the Code of Ethics and Practice and accountable in the event of a complaint. This is a safeguard for people I work with.
